The king of comedy

Robin Williams is comedic genuis. He came to Minneapolis to play a 3-day show for charity and Jason was on top of snatching up tickets as soon as they went on sale. Sold out in 2.4 minutes. Nothing like spamming the refresh button on your web browser to make great things happen. Robin played the Acme Comedy Club; a great 290-person intimate setting for a standup to play to a crowd. Even the building itself was cool. We were in the old warehouse district, so lots of stone and giant wooden beams. We were 40-feet from the stage. It was hard to look at Robin and think that we were in the presence of a movie-star. He was really down-to-earth and damn funny. He covered sex, drugs, alchohal, politics, Minnesota weather, Canadian neighbors...and lots of other raunchy topics. He was wonderful live!
